David Ferrer qualifies for the London Masters after winning the 5th title of the year in Vienna and the elimination in the Basilea semifinals of the French Richard Gasquet by Rafael Nadal (6-4 7-6).

Two week ago David Ferrer, number 8 in the world, he achieved to win the the title at the Austrian capital (Vienna) against the american Steve Johnson (47th) by 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 after 2 hours and 14 minutes. This is his 26th title from 51 finals played.

“Ferru”, at the age of 33, was two points from defeat but dug his heels in to win the game. Johnson was playing the first final of his career after a spectacular week with tough matches from the start and playing some excellent tennis with a powerful serve and forehand.

David Ferrer achieved to win the 5th title of the year (Doha, Rio de Janeiro, Acapulco, Kuala Lampur and Vienna).  Thanks to this magnificent results manages to stay as No. 8 in the ATP rankings and confirms a place in the London Masters that will take place from the 15th to 22nd of November.
