«The ambitious project, directed by Javier Ferrer, will be released in May 2019″

The International Tourism Fair at IFEMA has been the perfect stage to present to all the media and visitors to FITUR in this 2019 edition the new facilities that Ferrer Tennis Academy will open in mid-May in the town of Costa Blanca, La Nucia.

La Nucia will become in 2019 the «sport capital of the Costa Blanca and international sports tourism», with a calendar of international and national sports events. La Nucia Ciudad Del Deporte will host the new «ATP Challenger of Tennis David Ferrer» as well as a host of sports events such as the Trial World Championship, the National Athletics Championship «, of the XXXIX National Sports and Recreation Gala and the National Asphalt Rally.

In the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) the Costa Blanca Tourist Board and La Nucia City of Sport have presented the calendar of sporting events of 2019, with the presence of the athlete Pablo Torrijos (runner-up in Europe in triple jump), Javier Ferrer (director of Ferrer Tennis Academy, Manuel Aviñó, RFEDA president (Royal Spanish Federation of Motorsports), Doménec Fernández RFME vice-president (Royal Spanish Motorcyclist Federation), Julián Redondo (Sports Chief La Razón and president of Spanish Sports Press Association – AEPDE), Jesús Álvarez (Sports TVE and vice-president AEPDE), Raúl Chapado, president of the Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA), César Sánchez, Councilor of Alicante and Bernabé Cano, Mayor of La Nucía.

ATP Tournament in La Nucía

From September 30 to October 6, the «Ferrer Tennis Academy» in La Nucía will held the $150 Tennis ATP Challenger. An international ATP tennis tournament that will be named David Ferrer.

The Ferrer Tennis Academy is already building a tennis complex of 20,000 m2 in the Ciutat Esportiva Camilo Cano to meet the demand of athletes from around the world who wish to know first-hand the training method designed by Javier Ferrer, director of the Academy that bears his last name. In addition, with this event, La Nucia Ciudad Del Deporte and ATF will be positioned in the international tennis scene.

Thanks to Costa Blanca and the Provincial Council of Alicante who have made possible that La Nucía and Academia Tenis Ferrer have been able to present their projects to the media during the day of January 23 and that will undoubtedly contribute to the growth, dynamisation and development of both.
