JAVEA TENNIS CLUB TRIBUTES DAVID FERRER AND “BAPTIZES” THE CENTRAL COURT WITH HIS NAME

Last Saturday, August 24th, within the mark of the Open Tournament organized by the Ferrer Tennis Academy at the Javea Tennis Club, the tribute to David Ferrer took place where it was announced that, from that same day, Court 6 of the Club itself, would be renamed the “David Ferrer” Court. The President of the Javea Tennis Club, Guillermo Cardona, representing the central board, was in charge of publicly proclaiming that David Ferrer, honorary member and an example for athletes and a pride for the City of Javea, would have the central court with his name.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Javea Tennis Club to witness trophy delivery, gift raffle, music and the World Padel Tour exhibition among other activities and how Stellar moment, the intimate tribute to the tennis player from Xabia where, Cardona gave him a commemorative plaque for his brilliant sports career and as a thank you for flying the flag of Javea and Javea Tennis Club all over the World.

But what Ferrer certainly did not expect, was the new name of the old Court 6, which would be renamed «David Ferrer Court». Emotional moment in which the Javea Tennis Player expressed his enthusiasm and gratitude to all those present and that without a doubt it was a surprise that he did not imagine causing David’s visible emotion.

In the coming weeks, the board members of the club will announce the date where the act of placing the commemorative image will take place on the Central Court where David’s authorities, partners, family and friends will be invited and all those who wish to witness David’s official naming Ferrer as the central court of the Javea Tennis Club.
