The player of the Ferrer Tennis Academy, Lucía Llinares (Alicante 2003), has been proclaimed Spanish Tennis Champion in the U-16 category played at the Tarragona Tennis Club after defeating Lidia González García (Madrid 2003) in the final by 7-6 / 6-0.

Llinares kept a great week with great physical and mental demanding matches, defeating Claudia de las Heras in the quarterfinals by 6-4 / 1-6 / 6-4 and in the semifinals Raquel González Vilar 5-7 / 6-2 / 6-4 to to raise the trophy that proclaims Champion of Spain 2019.

This year is being a course of great victories and sporting advances for La Nucia tennis player who has managed to win the ITF Junior Tournament in Hillerød (Denmark) and her qualification for the final draw of the Mutua Madrid Open 2019, in addition to the title of Champion of Spain in doubles modality with Claudia de las Heras whom defeated Mª Dolores López Martínez and Laura García Astudillo 6-1 6-4 in the grand final.

Lucia continues gearing up her next sporting commitments with her technical team from the Ferrer Academy at the La Nucia headquarters in the Ciudad Deportiva Camilo Cano from where they will chart the tournament plan for this season, which will undoubtedly be charged with hope and optimism after these great sporting milestones.
