Last Sunday, July 14th, the player of the Ferrer Tennis Academy, Naroa Aranzabal (2005) disputed the final of the Championship of Spain facing Ariana Geerlings (2005) at Sportclub Alicante and where the Grenadine won the title.
Aranzábal was overcome in three sets after having managed to take the first set of match. Unfortunately for the ATF player, the dynamics of the encounter was reversed and ended up losing for a final score of 5-7 6-2 6-2
In the quarterfinals, Naroa defeated the 2018 finalist, Barcelona’s Raquel Caballero, second seed and did the same in the semifinals, but with more difficulty, against the Madrid Marta Soriano turning the match around 3-6 6-1 6-3.
Naroa, who works under the instructions of her technical staff at the Ferrer Tennis Academy, has achieved great results in this year, such as the title of the «Rafa Nadal Tour» in Barcelona and the participation in the main draw of «Les Petit AS Mondial Lacoste «In Tarbes, France reaching the third round.
